The word image comes from imago, latin for representation or resemblance of a visual perception.

The following photographs are records of accidental encounters with man-made artifacts that, stripped from their functions within the selectivity of the frame, have begun to interact and resemble the landscape that surrounds them. In a way I find these objects to be as much of a representation as the image I’m making of them. I’m attracted to the open-ended meaning of these constructions as representations which lack any known artist or architect; it is as though we’re looking at images made by erratical human presence and chance.
